The Paulin Brothers’
Brass Band represents an aspect of New Orleans’
musical culture that is rapidly declining –
the traditional brass band dressed in “traditional”
uniform—black pants, white shirt, black shoes,
tie and band cap playing traditional New Orleans music.
We have traveled throughout the United States and
Europe sharing our uniquely Paulin Brass Band sound
with countless audiences.
Our goal is to maintain the integrity of the music
in honor of musicians like our Dad, Ernest
“Doc” Paulin, who first organized
his band in the early 1920s; To introduce and encourage
the “young musicians” to respect New Orleans
music and those who contributed to its success and
lastly, to carry on the tradition for years to come.
